Carol Reist

Executive Director (on mat leave)
Carol has been at The Dam since 1999. As a grad of University of Toronto, Erindale College (now known as UTM), Carol began her career working for Inter-Varsity Christian Fellowship before coming to The Dam. In 2005, she took on the role of Drop-in Director. As executive director since December 2007, Carol has a passion for the community and the way the community can be involved in the lives of youth and young moms. Ken Dryfhout

Acting Executive Director
Youth Programming Director/Youth Culture Specialist
Since November 2003, Ken is the face most youth see in drop-in and outreach programs. With his charisma and education (Masters of Divinity) Ken brings the philosophy of The Dam to our most hurting youth. He oversees and provides direction to all of our youth programs. He was ordained as a ministry associate at Meadowvale Community Christian Reformed Church in May 2006. Jill deJager

Meadowvale Programs Coordinator
Jill started in October 2008. Jill has an Applied Science degree from University of Guelph with a child, youth and family major. She has experience in women’s health, child care, and ministry. Robin Bemmann

Youth Mentor, Meadowvale
Robin started in April 2006.  She has a Bachelor's in Theology, and has experience working at a youth correctional facility and in youth ministry. Chris Williams

Youth Outreach Worker, Meadowvale
Chris started working at The Dam in July 2010.  A graduate from the Sheridan College Community Worker - Outreach & Development program, you will find him in drop-in and on outreach. Curtis Kent

Burlington Coordinator
Curtis started at The Dam in March 2011. He has a Bachelor's degrees of Psychology and a Bachelor's of Ministry from Wilfred Laurier University and St. Stephen's University respectively. As a former a youth and children director, he brings that focus to The Dam on working with the youth in Burlington. He brings many years of experience in building effective community amongst youth, and is passionate about helping youth develop their potential and building positive communities for youth. June Paradis

Admin/HR
June stared as a drop-in volunteer in 2000 and worked as the Office Manager from 2003-2004. She volunteered in admin for a bit and then started in her current role in June 2006. June's previous life was as an executive working for the Bank of Montreal. In her new role, June points Carol in the right direction and then works on fundraising.
